Abstract

Objective To investigate the effect of low expression of tripartite motif-containing protein 28 (TRIM28) and downstream target protein β-catenin. Methods TRIM28 was silenced in Hep3B cells mediated by lentiviral vector, and the proliferation of Hep3B cells after TRIM28-knockdown was detected by cell colony. Results After TRIM28 knockdown, the protein level of β-catenin was significantly down-regulated, which was 0.78 of the control group, and β-catenin/glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH) in the KD1 group and KD2 group decreased to 0.28 and 0.25, respectively (P<0.05); The proliferation of Hep3B hepatoma cells was significantly inhibited (P<0.05). Conclusion TRIM28 has a promoting effect on the proliferation of Hep3B hepatoma cells. Key words: Hepatocarcinoma; Tripartite motif-containing protein 28; β-catenin
