Abstract

Two cases of orbital cellulitis in children are described. Treatment with penicillin proved unsuccessful. Subsequent treatment with lincomycin parenterally produced rapid improvement and complete recovery from the infection. The authors suggest that lincomycin should be considered in treatment of orbital cellulitis in cases where penicillin has no effect.
