Abstract

It has been suggested that the deworming dose of levamisole administered at the time of processing cattle into the feedlot could be immunostimulatory and result in a reduced incidence of respiratory disease. This controlled field trial was undertaken to evaluate the effect of a single dose of 6.0 mg/kg of levamisole administered at the time of processing on the incidence and severity of bovine respiratory disease (BRD) in feedlot cattle.
