Abstract

In this essay, TC4 wear samples were prepared by selective laser melting (SLM) to study the effects of different laser power densities on the wear properties of SLM samples. The wear resistance of SLM specimens at different power densities was tested by MMW-1A universal wear tester. The composition and structure of different TC4 samples by SLM were analyzed by X-ray diffraction, energy dispersion spectrum and scanning electron microscopy, and the hardness was tested by microhardness tester. The results show that SLM specimens are more stable than the casting. Increasing the laser power density increases the fine grain strengthening effect of the laser, which is beneficial to improve the wear resistance of the material.
