Abstract

The effect of surface laser preprocessing of silicon nitride samples and copper gaskets on the properties of diffusion-bonded ceramic–metal–ceramic joints has been studied experimentally. The results demonstrate that laser perforation of metallic gaskets and laser drilling of holes in the surface of ceramic samples considerably improve the mechanical properties of solid-state diffusion-bonded joints.
