Abstract

ABSTRACT The effect of La3+ and Zn2+ codoping on the microstructure and dielectric properties in the 0.9Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-0.1 PT ceramics was studied. Raman spectroscopy was used to study the small changes of ordering degree. The relative dielectric constant change with DC bias field was measured. When 2 mol. % La3+ and 3 mol. % Zn2+ was codoped, two dielectric peaks were observed in the temperature dependence of the dielectric constant. The maximal relative dielectric constant change decreased from 70.46% to 23.15% at 10 kHz (0∼1000 V/mm). The La3+ and Zn2+ codoping markedly increased the temperature and electric field stability of 0.9Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-0.1PT ceramics.
