Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the partial and simultaneous effect and dominance of job satisfaction and emotional intelligence on employee performance. The population in this study were employees of the University of Mayjen Sungkono, Mojokerto. This study used saturated sampling wherein the entire population was taken as a sample (30 employees). The results of t test of job satisfaction is (X1) t count = 2.583 > t table = 2.051 with significant value t > 0.05. It means job satisfaction has positive and not significant effect on employee performance, while emotional intelligence (X2) has t count value 3.720. It shows that emotional intelligence has positive and significant effect on employee's performance. Thus, emotional intelligence is more dominant on employee performance compared to job satisfaction. Therefore, the researcher suggests inviting motivators periodically to maintain job satisfaction and emotional intelligence of University of Mayjen Sungkono Mojokerto's employees.
