Abstract

Objective To investigate the effect of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine on esophageal dynamics in patients with reflux esophagitis. Methods 80 cases of reflux esophagitis were randomly divided into experimental group and control group, 40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with rabeprazole enteric capsules, and the experimental group was treated with Zhizhukuanzhong capsules on the basis of the control group. The two groups were treated for 8 weeks. The total effective rate, the changes of esophageal dynamics before and after treatment, adverse reactions, and recurrence were compared between the two groups. Results The total efficiency of the experimental group (92.50%) was higher than that of the control group (70.00%) (P<0.05). Esophageal sphincter pressure of the experimental group after the treatment was higher than that of the control group [(2.98±0.47)kPa vs.(2.21±0.43)kPa, P<0.05]. The percentages of acid exposure time at erect position and lying position of the experimental group were lower than those of the control group [(2.28±0.47)% vs.(4.19±0.59)%, (2.09±0.56)% vs.( 6.17±1.08)%; P<0.05]. There were no significant adverse drug reactions in two groups during the 8 weeks. The recurrence rate of the experimental group was lower than that of the control group (10.00% vs.32.50%, P<0.05). Conclusion Integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine in the treatment of reflux esophagitis has obvious curative effect, which can improve the esophageal dynamics of patients. Key words: Integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine; Reflux esophagitis; Esophageal dynamics
