Abstract
Inoculation of soils with antagonistic strains of sporeformers or actinomycetes from rhizosphere of resistant plants (tomato “Marmand” and watermelon “Giza 1”) protects the sensitive cultivars against the Fusarium wilt. The percentage of diseased plants differed according to the efficiency of microorganisms to antagonize (inhibition zone) the pathogen on synthetic medium, type of antagonistic microorganisms ( Bacillus or actinomycetes), type of plant, and soil treatment. Der Prozentsatz der befallenen Pflanzen differierte entsprechend dem Vermögen, im synthetischen Medium als Antagonist des Erregers zu wirken (Ausbildung einer Inhibitionszone), dem Typ des Antagonisten ( Bacillus oder Aktinomyzet), der Pflanzenart und der Bodenbehandlung.
