Abstract

AbstractObjective. To analyze some quality control indices of the major hospitalized diseases in the hospital and to provide a basis for the medical quality management, using data collected about the information in the first page of medical records over a period of 3 years in a 3A hospital. Method. The part of the information in the first pages of the discharged patients’ medical records, from 2009 to 2011, is summarized, and ten representative diseases of the hospital (such as acute myocardial infarction) are selected, the perioperative mortality and other major quality control indices of the ten diseases are analyzed; the results are compared with the indices of 300 hospitals at the same level in the whole country. Results. The perioperative mortalities in 2009–2011 are 0.10% higher than the reference value of the hospitals; the occurrence rates of pressure sores in hospitalized patients in 2010 and 2011 are 0.05% higher than the reference value of the hospitals; the fatality rate of the main diseases m...
