Abstract

Malaria in pregnancy increases maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality. Indoor residual spraying (IRS) is a core vector control strategy used to reduce transmission in endemic areas; however, its effect on pregnant people is not well known. We conducted a systematic literature review to determine what is known about the effects of IRS on parasitemia in pregnancy and on pregnancy outcomes.
