Abstract
The effect of impurities of praseodymium, neodymium, gadolinium, terbium, holmium and erbium on the plastic deformation of calcium fluoride single crystals has been studied. From the measurements of microhardness and the dimensions of the dislocation rosettes, it has been shown that hardness of a crystal depends on the atomic weight of the dopant.
