Abstract

Progression in the central nervous system (CNS) has become the major life-limiting problem for breast cancer patients since most drugs are ineffective because the brain is protected by the blood-brain barrier. In the present study, we sought to investigate the association between molecular subtypes and the treatment outcome of breast cancer patients with brain metastases after whole brain radiation therapy (WBRT).
