Abstract

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is a wireless data collecting method that makes use of the RF portion of the electromagnetic spectrum. Currently, numerous industries, particularly the healthcare industry, are using RFID technology. This study goes into further detail on the RFID tag's read range between an empty space and a proximity to the human body. In this study, it will also explain about the effect on the read range when in the empty space and in close proximity to human. Additionally, human proximity effect on the performance of wearable antenna is also explored. Furthermore, metamaterial also being introduced to enhance the performance for getting the optimized read range and potential means in improving the antenna performance for wearable application.
