Abstract
Now a days managing human resource (HR) effectively is the priority of the organizations. The relationship between of human resource management (HRM) practices and employee retention is investigated in this study. This study also scrutinized the perceived supervisor support’s (PSS) moderating effect between HRM practices and employee retention. The data was collected from employees of textile industry using questionnaire. Results show significant relationship between HRM practices and employee retention. Except employee empowerment, PSS is also moderating between HRM practices and employee retention. Organizations should implement these Human Resource Practices to keep employees motivated and positive towards work, this will decrease employee turnover and increase retention of skilled and motivated employees in an organization.
