Abstract

Home health care programs provide preventive, supportive and treatment service to community members who are vulnerable to health. This study examines the effect of home health care program for pressure ulcer in community dwelling vulnerable populations. The study subjects included 349 participants who registered at the home health care center in S university for duration of 5 years from 2006 to 2010. At enrollment, the number of patient with pressure ulcer was 184, which accounted for the majority of the total. The healed PU at certain time (t) was maintained as the probability of 66.70% at next time (t+1), and the rest deteriorated. And the complete healing probability represented different pattern in each PU stage. The home health care program ulcer is useful and effective way to management of pressure ulcer in the vulnerable members.
