Abstract

Objective To investigate the effect of quality nursing combined with gestational diabetes mellitus gestational body mass index management on pregnancy outcome and neonatal weight. Methods A total of 78 pregnant women with gestational diabetes admitted to the hospital were collected and randomly divided into a study group and a control group, 39 cases of each group. The control group received routine nursing combined with gestational body mass index management, and the study group received quality nursing combined with gestational body mass index management.Maternal blood glucose level, health knowledge, neonatal weight and pregnancy outcome were compared between the two groups. Results The fasting and postprandial blood glucose levels of pregnant women in the study group after nursing were significantly lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The weight gain of the control group was significantly higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The incidence of adverse neonatal outcomes such as giant infants, neonatal asphyxia, premature infants, low-weight infants and deformed infants in the study group was significantly lower than that in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). The incidence of postpartum hemorrhage, cesarean section and guided midwifery in the study group was significantly lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Pregnancy weight of pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus is closely related to the pregnancy outcome of pregnant women.Quality nursing for pregnant women combined with pregnancy body mass index management can strengthen the knowledge of pregnant women on relevant health, effectively control neonatal weight, and reduce the incidence of adverse maternal and infant outcomes.
