Abstract

This Paper reports the effect of High Entropy Alloy (HEA) weight fraction on the structural behavior and hardness variation of Aluminum Metal Matrix Composites (MMC’s). The AlFeCuNiMgZn HEA is reinforced to Al MMC’s with varied weight fraction viz., 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20%. The phase constituents of the HEA powders and Al-HEA composite powders were characterized through X Ray Diffraction (XRD) studies. Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) images of sintered samples were discussed. Macro hardness test was performed employing Rockwell B Scale. Density of the both green and sintered samples tends to increase with increase in HEA weight fraction. Hardness of the samples also follows the similar trend for both green and sintered samples
