Abstract
This paper represents the investigation of the characteristics of superconductivity, phase content and structure of the ceramics belonging to the Y-Ba-Cu-O system produced by these three methods: 1. Explosive compaction of a powder, which contains a superconducting phase in its initial state. 2. Explosive compaction of the powdered mixture of oxides, such as Y/sub 2/O/sub 3/, CuO, and BaCO/sub 3/, whose quantities correspond to the system YBa/sub 2/Cu/sub 3/O/sub 7/, with a subsequent thermal treatment in air. 3. Loading by a plane shock wave of solid samples of high-T/sub c/ ceramics sintered by a traditional method. The different compaction geometries were used, which made it possible to produce the rods, including those with an outer metallic shell and a central metallic rod or tube, and face bondings metal-ceramic-metal with an electrical resistance of contacts of < 0.1 ohm. The thermal treatment of the samples was made in both copper shells and without them over the temperature range 500 to 901/sup 0/C in different atmospheres for the three methods.
