Abstract

Normal magnetization curves were obtained from high-frequency hysteresis loops of FeAl multilayers evaporated in high vacuum with different Fe deposition rates (0.08 and 0.9 nm/s). The in-plane magnetic properties of the samples depend on both Fe deposition rate and Al thickness, owing to the different amount of columnar anisotropy developed in the magnetic layers during deposition. TEM observations performed on identical samples support these conclusions.
