Abstract

An attempt has made to study the effect of memory on the dynamics of arms race between two nations. This effect is represented by a function which accounts for the conflicting behavior of each nation towards its adversary for the whole past upto the present. The solution of the resulting system of integro-differential equations is characterised by the presence of damped and undamped oscillations.
