Abstract

RECENT reports1,2 show that gibberellic acid affects the production of the juvenile or adult leaf form in plants. In the course of a study of the effect of physiologically active substances on heteroblastic development in Ipomoea caerulea, plants have been treated with various substances, including gibberellic acid. The observations so far made may be of interest in considering the effect of this substance on leaf form in other plants.
