Abstract
This paper studies the effect of geo-cell in reinforced soil base course in airfield pavement structure. Using finite element method (FEM) to analyze the mechanical properties of geo-cell reinforced soil structure, the interaction of filling soil and geo-cell were considered in FEM calculation. Setting up a FEM model of pavement under the load of aircraft to analyze the feasibility of this structure, the result shows that using of geo-cell reinforced soil base course can enhance the tensile and flexible capability of the pavement observably. This structure can be used in practical airfield pavement construction.
