Abstract

Introduction: Fast therapy of hemorrhagic shock is one of the most challenging tasks in emergency medicine. For years, colloids are regarded as standard treatment. But recently several studies questioned the safety and benefit of colloids. Negative side effects were noted. Other studies contradict these [ [1] Rossaint R. et al. Crit Care. 2016; PubMed Google Scholar ]. This study investigates the impact of Gelatin-polysuccinate (GP), versus balanced electrolyte solution (BEL) on cerebral regional oxygen saturation and peripheral microcirculation in a porcine model of hemorrhagic shock and fluid resuscitation.
