Abstract

A model of gas-liquid and vapor-liquid slug flow in vertical channels is suggested. The effect of gas release from a gas-saturated liquid and vapor condensation in a cooling channel on characteristics of two-phase slug flow is investigated. It is shown that gas release and condensation affect significantly the structure of the two-phase gas-liquid and vapor-liquid slug flow.
