Abstract
This paper deals with the significance of the effects of fuel mixing phenomena on the kinetic behavior of molten salt reactors. The point kinetic system of equations is applied with 1‐D resolution of the precursor equations. Dispersion is modeled by including diffusion into the precursor equations and by assuming perfect mixing in certain parts of the primary circuit of the reactor. Results are presented on the oscillating behavior of the reactor and the influence of fuel mixing phenomena on the amplitude of the accillations.
