Abstract

The initial forming pressure has an important effect on the microstructure and properties of the samples prepared by the solid-state reaction method. In order to investigate the pressure regulation effect, the material Cu0·15B0·15Co4Sb11·5Te0.5 at various forming pressures was prepared by solid-state reaction method. The electrical transport properties of the samples were effectively optimized by regulating the forming pressure. The power factor of the sample increases, and the ZT value increases and then decreases with the forming pressure increasing. The maximum ZT value of Cu0·15B0·15Co4Sb11·5Te0.5 sample prepared at 5 MPa reaches 0.66 at 814 K. In the case of pressureless sintering, the thermoelectric properties of the block material can be effectively improved by appropriately regulating the forming pressure.
