Abstract

An experiment on influence of foliar application of micronutrients and humic acid with water soluble fertilizers during 2009-11 was conducted to investigate the effect on nutrient uptake of 'Palm Beach' gerbera (Gerbera jamesonii Bolus ex Hooker F.) under Shevaroy hills condition. The water soluble fertilizers were applied at three levels i.e., 125, 100, 75% of recommended dose fertilizer along with foliar spray of 0.004% micronutrient mixture (Fe-7.60%, Zn-1.68%, Mn-1.22%, Cu-1.00%, B-2.48%) and 0.2% humic acid. Application of 100% recommended dose, 0.004% micronutrient mixture and 0.2% humic acid as bio-stimulant had the highest nitrogen (N), phosphorous (P) and potassium (K) uptake, it also recorded highest uptake of micronutrients viz., iron (Fe), zinc (Zn), manganese (Mn), copper (Cu) and boron (B) compared to the control (T(13)).
