Abstract
Hexokinase activity of lens increases two-fold in alloxan-diabetic rats four weeks after induction of diabetes; both type I and type II isoenzymes of hexokinase are increased. This increase in lens hexokinase is considered in relation to alternative routes of glucose metabolism.
