Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of excision of polyp of vocal cord under laryngoscope supported by microscope combined with Ganju Bingmei tablets on polyp of vocal cord. Methods A total of 102 patients with vocal polyp from March 2014 to April 2017 in the Central Hospital of Yuncheng were selected and randomly divided into the control group and the observation group, with 51 cases in each group. The control group was treated with excision of polyp of vocal cord under laryngoscope supported by microscope, while the observation group was treated with excision of polyp of vocal cord under laryngoscope supported by microscope combined with Ganju Bingmei tablets, who were treated by Ganju Bingmei tablets after excision of polyp of vocal cord under laryngoscope supported by microscope for 1 month. The clinical effect, symptoms remission rate and the rate of recurrence after 6 months of treatment were counted. The changes of quality of life score before and after treatment between the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of the observation group[92.16%(47/51)] was higher than that of the control group[68.63%(35/51)]. The symptoms remission rate of hoarseness, foreign body sensation, repeated throat, sore throat and other symptoms in the observation group were higher than those of the control group(P 0.05). After treatment, each dimension of quality of life scores of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05). The recurrence rate after treatment for 6 months in the observation group was 1.96%(1/51), which was lower than that of the control group[15.69% (8/51), P<0.05]. Conclusions The excision of polyp of vocal cord under laryngoscope supported by microscope combined with Ganju Bingmei tablets can significantly improve the treatment effect on patients with polyp of vocal cord, which can relieve the clinical symptoms, improve the quality of life, and reduce the recurrence rate.
