Abstract
Eritadenine, a hypocholesterolemic adenine derivative occurring in the Japanese mushroom Lentinus edodes, had no effect on hepatic cholesterol biosynthesis from 1- 14C-acetate and 2- 14C-mevalonate but accelerated tissue uptake of plasma cholesterol.
