Abstract
The effect of the density of emission centers on the rate of degradation of these centers is studied for MIM systems with different materials of the upper electrode. It is shown that the degradation rate decreases sharply with increasing density of the emission centers. The obtained result is described by using the concepts about the nature of electronic moulding and the degradation mechanism of emission centers.
