Abstract

The effect of electrostatic fields on mechanical characteristics of nickel Ni3, brass L62, stainless steel O8C–18Cr–10Ni–Ti, and steel 30 subjected to static loading, is analyzed. The tension yield strength, ultimate strength, breaking stress, and ultimate strain in the presence/absence of an electrostatic field are determined. The virtual mechanisms of the effect of the field on the mechanical characteristics of metallic materials, are considered.
