Abstract

The results of model studies of the impact of electron correlation on the forced electric-dipole transition probabilities between the levels of the fN configuration in rare-earth systems are presented. The method of this investigation, developed by the present authors, has a different tensorial structure than the commonly used Judd–Ofelt theory. The detailed analysis of the corrections due to the electron correlation for several regular and hypersensitive transitions in Pr+3 and Eu+3 doped in LaCl3 is performed.
