Abstract

To explore the effect of the electrolyte flow rate on the working efficiency of a single-flow zinc-nickel battery(ZNB), a simulated flow rate alternative method is proposed in this paper. The flow rate of the electrolyte is measured indirectly through a device that simulates the flow of the electrolyte inside the battery to obtain the functional relationship between the pump voltage and the flow rate, which is then adjusted by changing the pump voltage. The results show that the ZNB system can achieve the best efficiency when the electrolyte flow rate is 6.5L/min.
