Abstract

Objective To analyze the influence of the early plastic repair on the prevention of hypertrophic scars and negative emotions of the patients suffering from moderate and severe burns. Methods Eighty cases patients with moderate to severe burns in hospital from May 2016 to May 2017 were divided into control group and repair group at random. The effect of plastic repair, score of the quality of life, score of self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) and score of self-rating depression scale(SDS) between the two groups was compared. Results The treatment efficiency and quality of life in repair group were significantly higher than those in control group (P<0.05), and the SAS and SDS scores in repair group were significantly lower than those in control group (P<0.05). Conclusions Early plastic repair for patients with moderate and severe burns can effectively prevent the patients from hypertrophic scar hyperplasia and help to relieve the negative emotion of the patients.
