Abstract

ABSTRACT LABORATORY experiments were conducted to study the effects of trickle discharge rate on the distribution of soil water in a silty-clay loam soil. Good agreement was found between the laboratory results and those cal-culated using the Bresler (1975) model. Results indicated that increasing the trickle discharge rate resulted in an increase in the vertical component and a decrease in the horizontal component of the wetted zone.
