Abstract

The aim of this experiment was evaluate the effect of application of nitrogen and phosphor bio-fertilizers on yield and yield components of maize. The experiment was performed during the growing season of 2013- 2014 at Islamic Azad University, Boroujerd Branch, Boroujerd, Iran. This experiment was in a split-plot design based on randomized block design with three replications. Treatments were different methods of application of Nitroxin as nitrogen bio-fertilizer such as (seed inoculation, top dressing, seed inoculation+top dressing and no application of them as control) in main plots and different methods of application of Biozar as phosphate bio-fertilizer (seed inoculation, top dressing, seed inoculation+top dressing and no application of them control) in sub plots. The results showed that, the effect of nitrogen and phosphate application methods were significant on plant height, number of row per cob, number of grain per cob, biomass, grain yield and leaf area index. Interaction effect of them was significant on biomass only. Among the nitrogen application methods maximum of plant height, number of row per cob, number of grain per cob, biomass, grain yield and leaf area index were recorded in seed inoculation+top dressing treatment. However, among the phosphate application methods maximum of plant height, number of row per cob, number of grain per cob, biomass, grain yield and leaf area index were recorded in seed inoculation+top dressing treatment too. In both nitrogen and phosphor biofertilizer treatments maximum harvest index was recorded at control treatment. In final we find that combined application of seed inoculation and top dressing treatment for Nitroxin and Biozar fertilizers was more useful for achieve to maximum yield and yield components of maize in Boroujerd condition.
