Abstract

1. Deprivation of the paradoxical phase of sleep by awakening the animal, which has no significant emotional overlay, does not affect the formation of acoustic discrimination under food-procuring behavior conditions. 2. Deprivation of the paradoxical phase of sleep by Jouvet's method, accompanied by a state of stress in the animal, causes impairment of formation of acoustic discrimination. 3. Deprivation of the paradoxical phase of sleep by Jouvet's method does not affect reproduction of acoustic discrimination formed previously and consolidated.
