Abstract
Background and Aims: Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (DM2) is associated with important disturbances in lipoprotein metabolism. There is little evidence regarding the effect of sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT-2) inhibitors and dipeptidyl-peptidase 4 (DPP-4) inhibitors on serum lipid metabolism. The aim of the study was to compare the effects of dapagliflozin and sitagliptin on serum lipid and apolipoprotein-B containing lipoprotein subfraction concentrations.
