Abstract

Reversible variation of coercivity in magnets from a Sm(Co, Fe, Cu, Zr) z alloy under a cyclic heat treatment in the temperature range of 800 – 400°C is studied. The “spoiling-reconditioning” effect of the reversible variation of coercivity under the cyclic treatment is a result of changes in the local composition of elements in the phases without changes in the morphology of the structure.
