The experimental results of the influence of Cr(III) impurity on the growth of structurally and chemically different crystals of technological important materials: potassium dihydrogen phosphate (KDP) and triglycine sulfate (TGS), are presented and discussed. It is found that the effect of an impurity on the growth kinetics of structurally two faces of a crystal can be different.
