Abstract

Summary The results of this investigation indicate that cottonseed meal is not a costive feed for dairy cattle. The consistency of feces of dairy cows is not altered by changing rapidly from a heavy cottonseed meal ration to a heavy linseed oil meal ration. There was no appreciable difference between the effects of feeding a large amount and a small amount of cottonseed meal on the consistency of feces.
