Effect of Cortisone and X-Irradiation on the Course of Trypanosoma lewisi Infection in the Rat

Abstract

Cortisone treatment of T. lewisi-infected rats did not cause inhibition of the production of Taliaferro's antibody albastin or of its maintenance. In fact, the duration of the infection may be diminished by cortisone. Cortisone at the levels used, therefore, did not exert a deleterious effect, and arboxybenzeneboronic acid, 2-acetamidobenzene-1,4terminal glioma patients.
