Abstract
The effect of cooling rate on the microstructure of alloy 1417M during crystallization with electromagnetic influence and without it is studied. It is revealed that alloy 1417N crystallization under electromagnetic influence with a cooling rate of 900 K/sec provides dispersion of structural components and increased uniformity of the their distribution through an ingot cross section, which promotes an improvement in mechanical properties.
