Abstract
A field experiment was conducted during 2013–14 at Kanpur to study the impact of COMPO (14:7:14) on yield, nutrient content and soil properties of rice–wheat cropping systems. Results indicated that yield attributes and grain and straw yield of both rice and wheat were increased significantly with the use of 100% NPK over that of without N and 100% PK. Application of reduced dose of 50% N significantly reduced grain and straw yield of rice and wheat both. Further, treatment that received 50% N with COMPO significantly enhanced grain and straw yield of rice and wheat both over that of 50% N without COMPO. Highest yield attributes, grain and straw yield as well as nutrient content in grains of rice and wheat were recorded with T6 (100% N + 100% PK with one split of N).
