Abstract

This paper reports recycling of electronic waste (e-waste) by means of a melt blending process, using linear low density polyethylene with a twin screw extruder to achieve an ecological and economic outcome. It was observed that the addition of compatibilizer led to an enhancement overall of the properties of the blends as compared to uncompatibilized blends, owing to better dispersion in the presence of compatibilizer. The ultimate goal was to develop environmentally friendly polymer blends filled with e-waste plastic.
