Abstract

To determine the effect of community based Nurse-led support intervention in the reduction of HbA1c levels compared to usual care. A systematic search of four electronic databases was conducted until August 2021 including RCTs to check for a reduction in HbA1c levels in Nurse-led intervention arm. Twenty-one trials involving 4649 diabetic individuals were included in the review. The pooled mean difference in the reduction of HbA1c in the intervention group was found to be -0.421 (95% CI: -0.59 to -0.25). Nurse-led educational intervention proved beneficial in the control of HbA1c among diabetic individuals.
