Abstract
Abstract Al-18%Pb and Al-22%Pb alloys processed through the spray deposition technique to obtain the homogeneous distribution of the Pb paricles into the aluminum grains, where as in case of conventional methods Pb paricles not distributed homogeneously . Optimum uniformity obtained at the pressure 10bar , spray deposition distance about 430mm and rotor inclination angle about 00. The spray deposits cold rolled for various percentage thickness reductions , porosity , hardness and wear properties were studied . the porosity of the sprayed deposits lower than the conventional one in comparison . the mechanical properties of the spray deposited alloys shows increment than the cast alloys . the wear resistance of spray deposited Al-18%Pb is showed better than the Al-22%Pb alloy.
