Abstract

Co-precipitation method was used for the preparation of undoped SnO2 and n-type semiconductor nanomaterials of cobalt-doped SnO2. To identify the crystalline phase and morphology of the nanomaterials were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. To focus and study on the gas sensing behaviour of undoped SnO2 and modified Co-doped SnO2 thick films. To study there sensitivity among the toxic, flammable and hazardous ethanol, hydrogen sulphide, nitrogen dioxide and ammonia gases. The optimum working temperature for the nanomaterial is same as per the variable gas sensitivity.
